EHAB ABDULLA was born in Malé (1981) and has lived and studied in Sri Lanka, the UK, and Australia. He is heavily influenced by the urban culture, music, and painters of America in the 1960s. His primary medium is oil on canvas. Ehab describes this series of paintings as a love affair with his hometown, Malé. Like all good love affairs, it comes with its ups and downs, with moments of heartbreak and moments of unadulterated joy.
