SHAHIDUL ALAM is a Bangladeshi photographer, writer and social activist. He co-founded the photo agencies Drik and Majority World. He founded Pathshala, a photography school in Dhaka, and Chobi Mela, Asia’s first photo festival. He is the author of Nature's Fury (2007) and My Journey as a Witness (2011). His work has been featured and exhibited in MOMA, Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, the Royal Albert Hall, among others. He was one of TIME Magazine's person's of the year in 2018.
